Your company can hold physical gold, properly, whatever its sector of activity. At Gold & Silver Company, an integrated Fonderie-Raffinerie in Dottignies, the purchase is invoiced in the company's name, the gold is delivered or kept in the vault in the company's name, the accountant receives an annual custody statement, and the house undertakes to buy back at the day's rate, in a single step. Investment silver is possible too, VAT-free in two cases: storage in a customs zone, or a company established outside Belgium. Make an appointment at the branch: [email protected] or +32 56 33 19 96.
What your company receives, in concrete terms
Everything is in the company's name, from the first document to the last: that is what keeps the position legible for the accountant, from one financial year to the next.
| Step | Document or service |
|---|---|
| Purchase | Invoice in the company's name: company name, enterprise number, detail of the products |
| Custody | Delivery to the representative, or custody in the vaults of Gold & Silver Company in the company's name |
| Follow-up | Annual custody statement for the accountant: dated inventory of the products and their weights |
| Exit | Buyback commitment at the day's rate, bank transfer to the company's account, detailed settlement note |
Why a refinery rather than a reseller
Gold & Silver Company melts, refines and certifies its bars in its own workshop in Dottignies. The products handed over to your company are checked by an assayer approved by the Royal Mint of Belgium and delivered in tamper-proof packaging. And because the house itself certifies what it sells, it takes back its own bars in a single step, at the day's rate: the way out is as simple as the way in.
Custody takes place in our strong room in Dottignies, under surveillance 24 hours a day. Gold held in custody remains the property of the company, inventoried piece by piece in the annual statement.
Silver too, VAT-free in two cases
Your company can also hold physical silver: investment bars and coins. Unlike investment gold, silver is in principle subject to VAT. Two cases allow a purchase without VAT: storage in a customs zone, the silver remaining in storage under customs control; and a company established outside Belgium. The two can be combined, and our advisers set out at the branch the route suited to your situation.
A diversification asset, presented without promises
Gold produces neither interest nor dividend, and its price fluctuates. Its place in a company's treasury is a matter of long-term diversification, not a yield product. Our advisers present the formats, the custody and buyback terms, with no advisory fees; the allocation decision belongs to the company and its own advisers. It is a position we hold on principle: selling metal, not promises.
